a backup and log of some of my published mods, outside of official channels
My HL2 mods. Most of them are ports of old mods, but some are original. Extract the zip files into a folder and put them inside a "custom" folder in the game's files. For Campaign (map-based) mods, put it inside "ep2/custom" folder. For Content (asset replacement) mods, put it inside "hl2/custom".
One of the higher quality campaigns. A short 3 map campaign complete with (russian-sounding TTS) voice acting and relatively high-quality NPC interactions. Buggy here and there. Some sections are laggy.
Short and weird campaign. The first map is the only fully completed one, the rest consist of seemingly unfinished blockouts for other maps that weren't completed. It also has custom assets that create a weird atmosphere, a sort of fusion between PS1 aesthetics and crappy 2015 FNAF fangames.
Unfinished. Future has tons of custom assets that are left unused in the original mod, so I tried to make a content mod that would fully showcase these assets. However, fully using every asset was way too much work as a lot of them had to be fixed up for it, so I didn't do it. The mod is still playable though, just incomplete.
By far the highest effort one so far, and also the only original one. Done in collaboration with HyperLocust, who made most of the textures. A massive content mod that completely revamps the vanilla HL2 (not the episodes) experience. A bunch of HL2 Beta assets are also used.
One of the smaller ones. A single short map showcasing a couple of relatively complex interactions. And also Fallout songs.
Originally the Very Hard Mod :). A single, extremely hard map, infamous for making Jolly Wangcore lose his shit for 50 minutes. A good chunk of the map's difficulty came from sheer bullshit challenges, not really "hard" just very annoying. I decided to rebalance away the bullshit and make the relatively easy final section harder, hence the name change.
By far the smallest of them all. A 2 second map ending with the scariest scene ever scene in vibeo gane.
My TBOI mods. General mix of content, challenge, and LUA mods. Repentogon is necessary to play some of them. Unzip the folder and put it in the "mods" folder in the game's files.
Repentogon necessary. Base API for other challenge mods. Unlocks extra boss goals, and allows for integrated trinkets to be set as a starting item.
Replaces most of the game's music with either Flash Isaac's OST, for the vanilla game, or Antibirth's OST, for the alternate path. Void, Delirium, and the Ascent sequence are unchanged.
Requires Challenge API. Not compatible with REP+ DLC. A massive set of 140+ challenges testing many different item combinations and conditions hitting every final boss in the game. Some challenges are extremely hard, not for the faint of heart.
As the name might imply, it's an unfinished mod. Meant to add several new enemies and bosses into the game, only a couple were added.
Unfinished. Adds Vincent Bishop from FNAF fanon as a playable character. Only a couple sprites were made.
